Blog for TinySOA project. TinySOA is a framework that easies the use of a Wireless Sensor Network in a conventional application development by using a service-oriented approach. It provides tools to make possible to get and send data to a Wireless Sensor Network by the means of simple and easy to use web services.

First Blog Post

Hi, thanks for your visit. We are currently working on getting all the content of the website ready, and one of them is this blog. This is our first entry and it's just to let you know that we are almost done. We didn't want to launch early because we consider that is important to post the last distribution with the documentation, tutorials and examples as well. So, we are looking forward to see you around here, let us know anything you want to.

TinySOA is a framework to develop conventional applications that use the services provided by a wireless sensor network. It can be used to, by example, build some monitoring application, environmental visualization, etc. Traditionally, to accomplish this, you would first need to know how to program in this devices. Nevertheless, you need first to learn the programming language, deploy the software in the sensor nodes and take care of issues like networking, routing, and so on. So, why not just use a web service instead?, this is the objective of TinySOA, to easy the way you develop applications that use a sensor network.
